Our Spiral Block Print Caftans are made with soft 100% cotton material that is artistically hand block printed by artisans in Rajasthan, India. The wooden blocks are first hand-carved and the design is then hand-stamped using a different block for each color in the pattern. The seamless printing shows the fine skill of the block-printers, and it is a craft that has been passed down from generation to generation. Each region of India has a different style of block-printing, and each family has their own collection of wooden blocks. These elegant free size caftans feature a drawstring gather at the waist and are designed for a comfortable fit up to XXL size. One size fits most, 53" length.

Sevya is dedicated to preserving the indigenous art forms and cultures of India by supporting the artisan communities who uphold these traditions while injecting creative contemporary details. All of Sevya's products are fair trade and use centuries-old craft traditions, with the finest natural fibers and materials. Sevya works with artisan cooperatives throughout India to develop styles and designs that showcase their traditional and eco-friendly methods of handcraft--including hand-loom, block-printing, tie-dye, and embroidery.
