Hand-Painted Silk & Modal Bellows Skirt

The Bellows Skirt is a reimagining of our signature silhouette, now rendered in a fluid modal-nylon blend that prioritizes movement. Its name is derived from its unique construction: two full circle skirts joined at their hems to create a continuous, undulating volume. As you move, the fabric collapses and expands in a soft sine wave. A vertical pleating effect that is entirely organic to the design.

At the heart of each skirt is a sheer silk organza "window" panel. Each panel is individually dry-brushed by hand, creating a textured, painterly finish. This manual process ensures that every skirt carries its own unique patina. A subtle, dark-on-dark variation that catches the light differently with every step.

Key Features Include:

• The "balloon" shape is achieved through the structural tension of the two circles. A sheer silk organza panel is inset at the knee, acting as a window that lightens the visual weight of the black fabric.
• All joinery is finished with tonal, rolled serging. We’ve chosen to keep these seams exposed as a subtle nod to the garment’s architecture, highlighting the thoughtful engineering behind the drape.
• Easy, elastic waist for a ready, pull-on style.
• The modal-nylon blend offers a soft, cool hand-feel with a slight luster.
