Ithemba Glass Beaded Bracelet | Black Basalt

This delicate beaded bracelet is handwoven on a loom by the women and youth of the Batoka Creative's self empowerment group in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Created from the finest Miyuki glass seed beads, brilliant colors are interspersed with 24 carat gold plated beads, utilizing the traditional hand skills of the local people in a contemporary way.

The Black Basalt beaded bracelet is inspired by sun glinting off the deep basalt gorge sides of the Zambezi River as it descends through the rapids below the Victoria Falls.
